Ambrose, McGath and Donald Tachieved better results as bowlers playing in the same era as Akram. they were better bowlers, end of story. Add to that Akram is a well known match fixer, anyone with a brain knows that. Whereas those 3 bowlers I mentioned never was involved in match fixing.

i agree with bubble bhaiyan!!ian botham is no way near wasim akram…in fact comparing the two is a joke…he was a batting all rounder while wasim was a bowling allrounder!!ian botham had a stint with captaincy in two tests in which he miserably failed,,,while wasim was a good captain
@bublubhuyan When I use the word ‘overrated’, I mean to say that he was not better than Waqar, and certainly an inch behind the great Imran Khan.
@MrKami1981 I’ve got better things than to be a hater. Wasim Akram is seriously overrated as a Test bowler. Waqar Younis was much better. Just have a look at Waqar’s unparalleled strike rate in Tests, that’s called mastery. Add to that he averages almost just as much as Wasim. Regardless, Imran Khan is the best bowler Pakistan has ever produced, better than both Wasim and Waqar. He’s the pioneer of reverse swing and he’s the one who passed the art to both of them.

Wasim Akram wasen’t even among the top 2 bowlers from his own era, McGrath and Ambrose were much better than him, as evident with thier vastly better bowling average and strike rate.
