AUSSIES LOSE OUT

The Australian Cricket team has been defeated by India by 6 wickets in the third test match which was played at Mohali.

With this win, India has now got ahead by 3-0 in the test series.

The score of Australia at the end of the 4th day’s play was 75 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Phil Hughes and the night watchman Nathan Lyon was at the crease.

On the fifth morning, India got the breakthrough pretty early when Nathan Lyon was caught by the Indian skipper MS Dhoni off the bowling of the left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.

Next to go was Michael Clarke. He was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja for the fifth time in the series.

Phil Hughes also couldn’t carry on his inning for too long. He was adjudged leg before wicket. However, that decision of umpire was a bit controversial as the ball seemed to be pitching outside the leg stump.

Moises Henriques gave an easy return catch to Jadeja when the score of Australia was 126.

Peter Siddle showed a bit of aggression and hit a four and a six before being knocked over by a beauty from Pragyan Ojha.

Mitchell Starc added 36 runs with Brad Haddin for the 9th wicket and then, 44 runs with Xavier Doherty for the 10th wicket to take Australia to 223.

There was a target of 133 runs in front of the Indian team. The Indian openers made a decent start and added 42 runs for the first wicket. Murali Vijay was the first man to be dismissed after scoring 26 runs.

For the second wicket, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli built a useful partnership of 28 runs and took India close to victory.

India lost two quick wickets towards the end and the match got a bit exciting. But, the Indian captain MS Dhoni finished off the match by hitting three consecutive fours off the bowling of Mitchell Starc.
